Presentation Ceremony of Japanese TV Program "Astro Boy" To Zodiak TV

On Tuesday, November 29, 2016, on behalf of the Japan Foundation, Ambassador Nishioka presented the Japanese TV Program "Astro Boy" to Mr. Gospel Kazako, Managing Director of Zodiak Broadcasting Station. Speaking during the ceremony, Ambassador Nishioka appreciated the cooperation from Zodiak Broadcasting Station to cover projects and events by the Embassy as well as to produce the "Japanese Food Culture Show" in partnership with the Embassy. He hoped that Malawian people will enjoy watching these programs and learn something about Japan and its people.
The program which was handed over today is an animated TV series "Astro Boy" which is about a robot who fights for justice and continuously tried to save the collapsing relationship between mankind and robots. The 1st episode was broadcasted on Zodiak TV on December 21, 2016, and thereafter the program is broadcasted every Saturdays at 8:30am, and Mondays at 4:30pm (repeat), and Thursdays at 3:30pm (repeat).
The other TV program which will be handed over early 2017 is a drama series called "Doctors: The Ultimate Surgeon."
