Reception Introducing Japanese Food Culture

On June 9, 2016, Ambassador Nishioka hosted a Reception Introducing Japanese Food Culture at the Official Residence. Mr. Manabu Nonaka, the Chef at the Official Residence prepared wonderful Japanese dishes using local resources from Malawi, including Chambo Sushi, Kampango Tempura, and Usipa Kara-age. Our Guest of Honour, Honourable Chaponda, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Cabinet Ministers, and Heads of Diplomatic Missions, and other Distinguished Guests all enjoyed the tastes of Japan with Malawian local food sources.
