Grand Achiever given to Mr. Matsuura

On 6th July 2011, Mr. Matsuura, a former UNESCO Director General was awarded a Grand Achiever by President Mutharika at Malawi Independence day celebrations for his effort in protecting cultural heritage of Malawi. During his term as UNESCO Director General, “Nyau Dance or Gulu Wamkulu” was declared as Intangible heritage.
